This morning I packed up and headed out like any other day on the road. About 45 minutes on the 70 mile an hour highway, my truck had steam pouring out from underneath the hood. I immediately thought today was going to be a very rough day repairing my truck on the super narrow and busy highway. Well, it seems the radiator cap worked its way off causing this potential catastrophe. Trying to be proactive as I travel, I had antifreeze available to replenish. Within a short period of time, I was back on the road. Whew! My first stop was at small one-room dome shaped chapel with no door on it. It was built by a retired state trooper in the 1970's. Inside this unique find, I found stacks of clothes, a small box of unopened candy, a Christian coin, bibles and guest sign-in sheets. I found myself on my knees thanking the good Lord for the blessing of my earlier troubles to be nothing more than a few minutes of worry. I rolled into the small town of Montevallo in search of Orr Park for another potential cool find. From the parking lot I saw my first one. As I entered, I noticed children playing in the nearby creek. The locals questioned me if this was my first time in the park. They shared their enthusiasm welcoming me to their town. They also informed me there were over thirty more of what I discovered. I began walking the path examining every tree I passed. Some were easy to spot while others caught me off guard with their location. I so enjoy scavenger hunts! A local told me the artist's name is Tim Tingle, known as Tinglewood. When a storm damaged many of the trees within this park in 1993, Tinglewood received permission to convert these damaged cedar trees into works of art.

As I was about to close my day heading to a nearby Cracker Barrel to rest, I passed a sight worth stopping for. This unexpected gem closes this most perfect day of 'What a day of surprises'.
